Reunion at Barsaloi and Back from Africa by Corinne Hofmann
I have good news for those who enjoyed Corinne Hofmann's The White Masai and are keen to read her other books.
To date, only The White Masai has been published in English. Arcadia Books, who published the english version of The White Masai in September this year, are planning to publish Reunion at Barsaloi in autumn 2006 and then Back from Africa after that.
If you would like to be kept informed when further details of publication and availability become available, please just leave a comment against this entry.
Personally I can't wait to read the next installments - shame we have to wait a year, but it is good to know that these books will be available eventually.

I am anxiously awaiting the English translation of Back from Africa and Reunion in Barsaloi, I agree it is a shame we have to wait eight more months. Having just returned from Africa after three visits, I can understand the dilemna Corinne endured and am anxious to see how her journey continues.

I too thoroughly enjoyed Corinne's book and reading about her experiences trying to assimilate into the Masai way of life. I have been scouring book shops trying to find the other 2 books and am very disappointed that the books haven't even been translated yet. I'm considering learning german just so I can read them now.

Having just spent two weeks in Kenya with time to take in a Safari which was wonderful, we were also able to visit a Masai village, where we were introduced to some of the wives with babies and children, then the school children sang for us. We were taken into one of the 'houses' it was very primitive which made me wonder how they survive. Reading 'The White Masai' transported me back to Kanya, it was excellent.

Loved the White Masai. Cant wait for the other 2 to be published in English. Am a little surprised and disappointed that it is noted that the book that is number 3 in the trilogy is being translated and released before the number 2. Isn't it a litle silly that they are doing this, since everyone would normally read the books in sucession!?!
